Young Artists for Haiti
Young Artists for Haiti (German: Young Artists for Haiti) is a charity project to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti on 12 January 2010. More than 50 predominantly Canadian musicians came together for it and took the song Wavin 'Flag originally by K'naan rapper, who appears as soloist in this version, new to.
Background
Bob Ezrin wrote and produced the song, the content of K'naans original version was changed and is about the earthquake in Haiti and its aftermath. For the first time to the public at the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games project was presented on 12 February. On March 12, the new version was released under the name Young Artist For Haiti, the revenue from the project will go to organizations such as Free the Children, War Child Canada and World Vision Canada, which in turn improve the situation in Haiti.
Wavin 'Flag debuted in the week ending March 27, 2010 at # 1 of the Canadian charts.
