Youth of Today

Youth of Today are an American hardcore band from New York City.

Band History

Youth of Today was founded in 1985 by members of the New York hardcore band Violent Children Ray Cappo (vocals), John " Porcell " Porcelly (guitar ) as the original hardcore straight-edge bands like Minor Threat, SSD or DYS Been to disintegrate and so triggered the second wave and the zenith of Straight Edge from in 1988. Youth of Today led with the song " No More" first a vegetarian living as part of a Straight Edge. The band broke up in 1990. In 2004, she gave a brief revival, and then go back for five years separate ways. Since 2010, they now exist and are officially back on tour in 2011 ( uA in Sweden, the USA and Germany ( Sucks'n'Summer ) ).

Name

The band named themselves after a song of the same name Abused and excerpts from a song by the Avengers. Another version of the Naming is on the MySpace page of YOT: .. " That was our inspiration for the name" " Cause for Alarm Mentioned this in Their lyrics, " Youth of today can be the tool!
