Yuzhny Ural Orsk

The HK Yuzhny Ural Orsk (Russian Хоккейныӣ клуб Южный Урал Орск, German Hockey Club South Ural Orsk ) is an ice hockey club established in 1958 the Russian city of Orsk. The team plays in the second-rate Wysschaja Hockey League.

History

The club was founded in 1958 as Komanda Orska. Initially the team played in the Soviet unterklassigen leagues. In the 1970/71 season promotion to the third-rate Wtoraja League succeeded. Due to the success in the first round the team tried in 1989 to ascend through the promotion round to the second division, but failed to have finished last.

1992-2010, the team was based in the sub-prime Wysschaja league. In 2010 it was included in its successor league Wysschaja Hockey League.
