Zettlitz

Zettlitz is a municipality in the northern part of the Central Saxony between cities Rochlitz and low forest. It is part of the joint management Rochlitz, located in the eponymous city.

Geography

Zettlitz located on the eastern banks of the river Mulde. About five miles south-west is the town of Rochlitz and about 35 kilometers to the south of the city of Chemnitz.

Neighboring communities

Adjacent communities are Geringswalde (city ), King Field, Rochlitz ( city) and Seelitz in the district of Central Saxony and Colditz ( city) and Zschadraß in the district of Leipzig.

With 794 inhabitants (as at 30 June 2012) is Zettlitz by the municipality with 372 inhabitants Rathen, in terms of population, the second smallest municipality in Saxony.

Traffic

The municipality is situated on the main road 175 A direct train connection no longer exists, the earlier leading through the village railway Glauchau Aroids is available as well as the immediate south railway line running Waldheim Rochlitz since decommissioned. The next stops on the routes Riesa- Chemnitz Chemnitz and Neukieritzsch are about 10 km away.
