Žiga Pavlin

Ziga Pavlin ( born April 30, 1985 in Kranj, SR Slovenia) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who is since May 2011 IF Troja Ljungby - in HockeyAllsvenskan under contract.

Career

Ziga Pavlin began his career as a hockey player with the HK Kranjska Gora, for whom he made ​​his debut in the Slovenian Hockey League in the 2000 /01 season. After he had spent the following season with the league rivals HK Bled, the defender played then three and a half years for the HK Triglav. During the season 2005/06 international joined the HK Slavija Ljubljana, with which he was runner-up respectively in 2006 and 2007. From 2007 to 2009 he was in the city neighbors HDD Olimpija Ljubljana under contract, for which he ran aground in parallel in the Slovenian League, and the Austrian Hockey League.

After Pavlin had been on the ice for Ritten Sport in the Italian Serie A1 during the 2009/10 season, he signed for the 2010/11 season a contract with his former club HDD Olimpija Ljubljana of the Austrian Hockey League. In May 2011, Pavlin received a contract for IF Troja Ljungby - from the HockeyAllsvenskan.

Internationally

For Slovenia Pavlin participated in the junior level at the U18 Junior B World Cup 2003 and the U20 Junior B World Championships in 2004 and 2005. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the B World Championships in 2009 and 2010 and the A- World Cup 2011.
