1962–63 Soviet League season
The season 1962/63 was the 17th season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for the tenth time in total CSKA Moscow, while dismounted due to a reduction of the League for the following season the same nine teams in the second division.
Mode
The 20 teams in the Klass A first played in a common main round against each opponent once, bringing the total number of games per team was 19. Then the first ten teams played in round-trip game in the final round for the championship, while the remaining ten teams also competed in return game to avoid relegation, the reached only the best team in the relegation round. The remaining nine teams in the relegation round up directly from the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
