1982–83 Soviet League season
The 1982/83 season the league Wysschaja was the 37th season of the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for a total of 26 times CSKA Moscow, while Ufa Salavat Yulaev relegation to the second division.
Mode
The twelve teams in the league Wysschaja first played in a common main round four times against any opponent, bringing the total number of games per team was 44. The point- best team became champion. The teams which were the main round is in the squares Five to Eight, played in another twelve games in a placement round to fifth place, and the results were taken from the main round. The teams which were the main round is on the places nine to twelve, completed in a relegation round for another 16 games, with the results from the main round were also taken. The last placed the relegation round rose directly from the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
