1964–65 Soviet League season
The season 1964/65 was the 19th season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for the twelfth time in total CSKA Moscow, Metallurg Novokuznetsk during and Traktor Chelyabinsk descended to the second division.
Mode
The ten teams in the Klass A played four games against each opponent, bringing the total number of matches per team was 36. The point- best team became champion, while the two last placed descended to the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
