1963–64 Soviet League season
The season 1963/64, was the 18th season of the Klass A as the highest Soviet Hockey League. The Soviet league title secured for the eleventh time in total CSKA Moscow, while Elektrostal relegation to the second division. First, even the SKA Kalinin took part in the season, but was ruled out because of a repeated breach of the Code of Conduct of Soviet sport some players of the team in December 1963 from the game and canceled all matches involving the SKA Kalinin.
Mode
The ten teams in the Klass A played four games against each opponent, bringing the total number of matches per team was 36. The point- best team became champion, during the last relegation to the second division. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
