1969–70 ice hockey Bundesliga season
The season 1969/70 hockey league was the twelfth season of the highest German Hockey League. German champion was the EV Landshut, who could both finish the pre-and the masters round on the first place. In the relegation of the Mannheimer ERC and the ESV Kaufbeuren able to keep the class, while the Hockey Teams Eintracht Frankfurt and Cologne EK had to dismount in the league. Up there this season not because the league should be abgestockt from twelve to ten teams.

After three years, the single-track Bundesliga was reintroduced. The twelve Bundesliga teams first met each other here in a single round, for the resolution in the summer team of FC Bayern Munich moved the ESV Kaufbeuren fourth qualifying round of the South after the preseason. The top eight teams then played without him her points in another single round for the championship title. The teams ranked 9-12 had, however, with the top six teams in the league, three each fight from the south and the north, in a Relegation Round to two free places Bundesliga since the league should be reduced to ten teams. Since Preussen Krefeld opted not to participate as third in the Oberliga Nord, however, took only nine teams participated in the relegation.
