1973–74 ice hockey Bundesliga season

The season 1973 /74 Hockey - Bundesliga was the 16th season of the highest German Hockey League. German champion was the Berliner SC, which thus exactly 30 years after the last German league title, then was able to celebrate in a war with the SC Sports Community Brandenburg, and two years after the resurgence of his 19th championship. The two dominant teams the past three years, the defending champion and runner- EV Füssen Düsseldorf EC finished the season only on a mid-table. In the 2nd Bundesliga Augsburg EV had to dismount, he was replaced by the second division champions ESV Kaufbeuren.

Mode

Like last year, the teams played in a double round of the German champions, so each club played two home and two away matches against other teams. Since the League had been abgestockt before game time from eleven to ten teams, only the last placed athlete was relegated at the end of the season and was replaced by the Master of the 2nd Bundesliga.
