Bagaladi
Bagaladi is an Italian town in the province of Reggio Calabria in Calabria with 1052 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Location and data
Bagaladi located 46 km southeast of Reggio Calabria. The place is located in the Aspromonte and is the gateway to the Aspromonte. The districts are Gornelle, Lanzena, Piani di Lopa, Pristeo and Saguccio. The neighboring municipalities are Cardeto, Montebello Ionico, Reggio Calabria, Roccaforte del Greco and San Lorenzo.
History
Probably the town was founded in the time of the invasion of the Saracens in the 10th century. At this time, several basilinische monasteries of nuns in the area.
