Dundy County, Nebraska

Dundy County is a county located in the state of Nebraska in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Benkelman, which according to JG Benkelman was named, an early settler in the area.

Geography

The County is located in the lower southwest corner of Nebraska, on the west by Colorado, south to Kansas and has an area of ​​2385 square kilometers, of which 2 square kilometers is water area. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Hitchcock County, Chase County and Hayes County.

History

Dundy County was formed in 1873. It was named after Judge Elmer S. Dundy.
