Grand-Santi

Grand- Santi is a French municipality with 5526 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Overseas Territory of French Guyana.

Geography

Grand- Santi extends south of the montagne francaise, the guanesischen Massif Central, along the River Lawa (who later opens into the chestnuts ). He is the only access. The highest elevations of the community form the mountain Kotika (730 m) and the montagne francaise (550 m), which are also attractions simultaneously.

History

Population

The approximately 3,000 inhabitants are mostly Grand Santis Djukas. Nonetheless, refugees from Suriname settled in the 1980s, down there, especially in the villages Gaa Kaba, Grand Citron, Ana Kondé et LIONI.
