Papaïchton

Papaïchton (also Papaïchton ) is a commune with 5860 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Overseas Territory of French Guyana. Papaïchton was created as a separate municipality until 1993, when she breaking away from Grand- Santi.

Geography

The municipality is located in the west Papaïchton French Guiana, in northern South America. The river Maroni forms the western boundary of the State of Suriname.
