Ivan Dresser

Ivan Dresser ( Ivan Chandler Dresser, born July 3, 1896 in Flandreau, † December 27, 1956 in New York City ) was an American long-distance runner.

1918 and 1919 he was IC4A champion over two miles.

In the 5000 - meter race of the Olympic Games in Antwerp, he did not reach the goal. In the team race over 3000 meters, however, he came in sixth place and won with Horace Brown ( 1 ) and Arlie Schardt ( 3 ) the gold medal for the U.S. team.

From 1925 until his death he was manager at General Motors.
