Kim (Korean surname)
Kim ( 김 ) is the most common surname in Korea, based on the Chinese " Jin " (金) for gold metal. If this mark is not used as a surname, it is written and spoken in Korean " Geum " ( 금 ). It should be noted that " Kim " is actually more like " Gim " is pronounced one but in determining the transcription agreed on this notation because this näherlag for Americans and also the sound is " emphatically " pronounced in Korean, and therefore between g and k seems to be.
In Germany and Austria about 1500 families bear this name. These are mostly immigrants, exchange students or guest workers from Korea. After a statistical analysis on the basis of family books, it is the year 500 in Korea about 10,000 Kims have given.
