Mansfeld-Südharz

The district of Mansfeld- South Harz is a town in the south of Saxony- Anhalt. It was formed in the wake of the district reform from 1 July 2007 by merging the former districts Mansfeld and Sangerhausen.

Historical development

During the Middle Ages had been established on the territory of the district multiple systems of domination. Geography
