Peyrissac

Peyrissac ( Pairiçac in Occitan ) is a commune with 133 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Corrèze, in the Limousin region. The municipality is a member of the Association of Municipalities Vézère Monedieres. The inhabitants call themselves Lacellois (it).

Geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin on the left bank of the Vézère.

Tulle, prefecture of the department is located, about 30 kilometers south of Brive -la -Gaillarde about 50 kilometers southwest and Treignac about ten kilometers north-east.

The village lies about 20 kilometers northeast of the exit 45 of the A20 Motorway.

Neighboring communities of Peyrissac are Rilhac- Treignac in the north, Soudaine - Lavinadière in the northeast, Affieux in the east, Le Lonzac in the southeast, southwest, and Meilhards Eyburie in the northwest.
