Riesdorf is a district of the city in the district of Southern Anhalt Anhalt- Bitterfeld, in Saxony- Anhalt.
Geography
The district Riesdorf is bounded on the north by Körnitz, on the west by Cosa and Pösigk, to the east by Wehlau and Lenne wit and on the south by Weißandt- Gölzau.
History
In 1268 Ries village was first mentioned under the name Roidiersdorf. Several times over the centuries had to be rebuilt the church in Riesdorf.
Until the formation of the unified community Southern Anhalt on 1 January 2010 Riesdorf was an independent municipality in the administrative community Southern Anhalt. Last Mayor of Riesdorf was Olaf Behr.
Fire Museum
