Trebbichau an der Fuhne

Trebbichau at the Fuhne is a district of the city in the district of Southern Anhalt Anhalt- Bitterfeld, in Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).

Geography

The village Trebbichau at the Fuhne lies between the county town of Köthen (Anhalt) and Halle ( Saale). The area around the current flowing to the north- west section of Fuhne is scarcely wooded and is farmed intensively. To the north the land rises gradually to 97 m above sea level. NHN to; south of the Fuhne, which marks the border with Saalekreis herein, the 250 m high mountain rises Peter.

History

In a deed of gift from the year 951 Otto the Great Gero, Margrave of the Ostmark Trebbichau ( Trebucouuici ) was first mentioned. Then it appeared in 1484 on a certificate, the present district of scorn village is mentioned in 1156. The explanation of the name is difficult to understand. Local dialect they say today " Drebbiche ", which interprets as " good of Trebich " and as much as useful sent, or pretty proficient means.

Originating from the 11th century scorn Strand Church is among the oldest in the county.

Until December 31, 2009 Trebbichau was at the Fuhne an independent municipality with the associated district mockery village. On a municipal area of 4.23 km ² lived 372 inhabitants ( 31 December 2008). On 1 January 2010, Trebbichau joined the newly formed Southern city Anhalt. Last Mayor of Trebbichau at the Fuhne was elves Glauch.

Trebbichau located on the road connecting Köthen (Anhalt) to Halle (Saale ). The motorway connection Löbejün is located 7 km west of Trebbichau (A 14 Magdeburg - Halle). The nearest railway station is located in the seven kilometers away Görzig ( line Magdeburg - Halle).
