United Nations Security Council Resolution 1

Resolution 1 of the UN Security Council to convene the Military Staff Committee held its first meeting on 1 February 1946 in London, was adopted on January 25, 1946 without a vote.

According to Article 47 of the UN Charter of the Military Staff Committee to advise and assist the Security Council on all military matters, which are to maintain international peace is important. The Committee shall be composed of the Chiefs of Staff of the permanent members of the Security Council or their representatives. Non- permanent members may be invited by the Committee, if the committee deems it necessary.
