Vadim Naumov

Vadim Vladimirovich Naumov (Russian Вадим Владимирович Наумов; born April 7, 1969 in Leningrad ) is a Russian former figure skater, who started pair skating.

Naumows figure skating partner was Yevgenia Schischkowa. They were trained by Lyudmila Welikowa. 1991 Naumov and Schischkowa Soviet masters and denied their first World Cup and European Championship. At the European Championships she won the bronze medal at once, which they won well at the European Championships in 1992, 1993 and 1995. In 1994, she was Vice-European Champion. In the period 1991-1996 Naumov and Schischkowa participated in the World Championships. In 1993 she won the bronze medal and 1995 silver medal. They celebrated their biggest success in 1994 when they became world champions in Chiba. The pair played two Olympic Games. In Albertville in 1992 they finished in fifth place and 1994 in Lillehammer they were fourth.

After Naumov and Schischkowa had not been taken into account for the Olympic Games in 1998, they withdrew from the amateur sport and went to the pros. There they were world champions in the same year.

Schischkowa and Naumov are married and have a son who was born in 2001. You work as a trainer in Simsbury, Connecticut.
