10cc (Album)

10cc is the first album by the English rock band 10cc. It was recorded at Strawberry Studios in Stockport. The album reached number 36 on the British charts. Three out of four singles reached the Top 10, including Rubber Bullets, which came in at number one. The subsequent title Fresh Air for My Mama was a revised version of You Did not Like It Because You Did not Think of It, the B-side of Neanderthal Man, which was in turn was an international hit of the band under its former name Hotlegs.

History

The album was the first of the band 10cc released after it under a different name, Hotlegs, and even without Graham Gouldman 1970 the single Neanderthal Man published, could reach the second place in the British charts and stayed in these 14 other weeks. In other countries the single was able to record another top - 10 finishes. With this album, they were known after they had already released some singles.

Reception

The album received generally positive reviews.
