1945–46 Primeira Divisão

The Primeira Divisão 1945/46, was the twelfth season of the Portuguese top football men.

The championship secured to only time Belenenses Lisbon. The coach of Belenenses, Augusto Silva, this was the first Portuguese coach to have won the championship. Previously, all the championships were won by Hungarian coach.

Participant

Until 1948, the teams were eligible, have qualified through regional tournaments. Promotion and relegation was introduced afterwards.

This season, the number of participating teams increased from ten to twelve. This season UD Oliveirense and SL Elvas participated for the first time.
