1970–71 Albanian Superliga

Kategoria e Pare The 1970/71 (in a sense: First League ) was the 32nd of the Albanian Football Championship and was hosted by the National Football Association Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit.

Course of the season

The league consisted of 14 teams as last season. 1969/70 were Tekstilisti Stalin Yzberish and Naftëtari Qyteti Stalin relegated from the Kategoria e Pare, for the new season got the FK Tomori Berat after a year and KS Besëlidhja Lezha after several years of abstinence in the first game class. Titleholder was 17 Nëntori Tirana.

The championship was played in a regular season with round-trip round. Each team met twice against every other team. The two last- placed teams had to dismount in the then second-rate Kategoria e Dyte. The Master moved to denEuropapokal a national champion.

A total of 381 were gates, corresponding to an average of 2.1 goals per game. Scorer with 19 goals was Ilir Përnaska KS Dinamo Tirana.

After five seasons without a title Partizani Tirana won the championship for the first time and was with eleven league titles once again the sole record holder of Albania. Close behind with just one point behind was Dinamo Tirana. Again Third was Vllaznia Shkoder. This was followed Labinoti Elbasan, Besa Kavaja and Skënderbeu Korçë, all this time still left the decapitated defending 17 Nëntori Tirana and Durres Lokomotiva behind. The same number of points Flamurtari Vlora, Tomori Berat and Gjirokastra Luftëtari secured well in the league as Traktori Lushnja, in the previous year eights. Instead, had promoted Besëlidhja Lezha and bottom-placed Apolonia Fier, which had each just managed to stay in the league two seasons ago, in the second division.
