The 1980/81 season was the 29th season of the Bulgarian Hockey League, the highest Bulgarian Hockey League. Champion for the sixth time overall in club history Levski Spartak Sofia.

In the main round each of the five teams played a total of 20 games. The winner of the main round was champion. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
