The 1987/88 season was the 36th season of the Bulgarian Hockey League, the highest Bulgarian Hockey League. Champion for a fifth time in club history the HK Slawia Sofia.

Mode

In the main round each of the five teams played a total of 16 games. The top two finishers of the main round qualified for the championship final. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
