1997 FIFA U-17 World Championship
The 7th U-17 World Cup was held until September 21, 1997 Egypt from the 4th. Defending champion was the national team of Ghana, new titleholder was the national team of Brazil.
The teams of the DFB and the OFB were able to qualify for the tournament.
