The 1999/2000 season was the 63rd season of the Hungarian Hockey League, the highest Hungarian Hockey League. Champion for the third time in club history Dunaferr SE Dunaújváros.

Mode
In the main round each of the seven teams completed a total of twelve games. The top three teams in the main round qualified for the Group A of the second round, the top two teams contested the championship final. The remaining four teams in the Main Round clashed in the group B of the second round. The winner of the intermediate round Group B qualified for the third place match for a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.
