The 2005/06 season was the 69th season of the Hungarian Hockey League, the highest Hungarian Hockey League. Champion for the seventh time total in club history Alba Volán Székesfehérvár.

Mode

In the main round each of the seven teams completed a total of twelve games. The top three teams qualified directly for the playoffs, while the remaining four teams then determined the fourth and final playoff participant in a qualifying round. For one victory after regulation time, each team received three points for a win after overtime there were two points in a defeat after overtime there was a point and a defeat after regular time zero points.
