2004 German Skeleton Championship

The 38th German Skeleton Championship 2004 was held on 10 and 11 January 2004 of the Combined ice rink in Koenigssee. There was one event for women and for men. Both were carried out in three runs, four were originally planned. On the first day, a run was carried out, a second run could not be performed due to bad weather conditions. The runs two and three were discharged on the second day. The championships were conducted as a dress rehearsal for the Skeleton World Cup in 2004 at the same place.

The new German champion Florian Grassl drove in the first run a new start record, the second day he was driving track record and secured with this performance his first national title. He was the first German champion after the era of Willi Schneider, who won nine titles in the previous eleven years and had now ended his career.

Women

Kerstin Jürgens secured superior to their first national title. Mitfavoritin Diana Sartor could not compete due to illness on the second day.
