2005–06 Egyptian Premier League

The Egyptian Premier League 2005 /06 was the 49th season of the Egyptian Premier League, the highest Egyptian championship in football since their introduction in 1948/49.

The climbers from the Egyptian Second Division 2004/ 05 were al Mokawloon Al Arab, aluminum Nag Hammadi and Koroum. No longer represented in Egypt's top tier are Baladeyet El- Mahalla El Mansoura Tersana SC and SC. Titleholder is al Ahly Cairo.

Mode

The championship has been held by the 14 in the league system, each team played twice against every other team. This season was the last season with 14 teams since the nafolgende season was increased 16 teams to two teams.

Participating teams

Overall, since 1948/49, took part in 64 different teams in the championship, but it was only al Ahly Cairo and al Zamalek SC to participate in all championships.
