2011–12 Egyptian Premier League

The Egyptian Premier League 2011/12 was the 55th season of the Egyptian Premier League, the highest Egyptian championship in football since their introduction in 1948/49.

Due to an increase of the field from 16 to 19 teams, the three lowest-ranked teams in the preseason, al -Ittihad Al- Sakndary, Smouha Sporting Club, and al Mokawloon Al Arab rose not from, but remained in the top division. From the Egyptian Second Division 2010/11 El Dakhleya, Ghazl El Mahalla SC and telephone call Beni Sweif SC went up into the major league. Titleholder is al Ahly Cairo.

Mode

The Championship was held from the 19 teams in the league system, each team played twice against every other team. The championship was canceled on 10 March 2012. At this time, led Haras el SC to the table.
