2006–07 Egyptian Premier League
The Egyptian Premier League 2006 /07 was the 50th season of the Egyptian Premier League, the highest Egyptian championship in football since their introduction in 1948/49.
The climbers from the Egyptian Second Division 2005/ 06 were Petrojet FC, SC Tersana, Tanta FC, Asyut Petroleum and El - Olympi. No longer represented in Egypt's top tier are Assment Asyut, aluminum Nag Hammadi and Koroum. Titleholder is al Ahly Cairo.
Mode
The championship was compared with the previous season increased from 14 to 16 teams, of which the championship was held in the league system, each team played twice against every other team.
Participating teams
Overall, since 1948/49, took part in 64 different teams in the championship, but it was only al Ahly Cairo and al Zamalek SC to participate in all championships.
