2009–10 Azerbaijan Premier League
The Premyer Liqasi 2009/10, according to a sponsorship agreement officially called Unibank Premyer Liqasi, was the 18th season of the highest Azerbaijani league for football the men since their founding in 1992.
The first season was launched on August 14, 2009 and ended on the host of the 22nd matchday. Both the games for the championship and the relegation games were introduced with the 23th game day. The last Games were held in May 2010.

First round
In the first season round the twelve teams played to participate in the games of the championship final. This requires a placement in the first half of the table was required. The clubs that were after 22 match day in the second half of the table, had to compete in the second half of the season in the relegation round against each other.
