2010–11 Baltic League

The Baltic League 2010/11 was the sixth season of football competition for Baltic club teams. Officially bears the League name TrioBet Baltic League. It started on 21 September 2010 and ended on June 18, 2011.

Mode

On the Baltic League as take in the preseason each of the five top-ranked teams in the Estonian Meistriliiga, Latvian and Lithuanian A Lyga Virsliga part. The country of the winner of the last season 2009/ 10 provides six teams this season, it is because of the victory of Latvia FK Ventspils. The tournament will be played in a pure knockout system with return game. In Torgleichheit decides the away goals rule, the final final is decided by a single game.

Participant

On 22 August 2010, the draw took place in the Olympic center of Riga, the 16 participating teams were divided into four Lostöpfe based on their league position.

For the participants from Estonia, there were no changes to the previous year. The Lithuanian participants are virtually unchanged. Since this year, however, a team could be less reported, Vėtra Vilnius remained on the sidelines this time, which were excluded from the national league game operation. From Latvia SK Blāzma and JFK Olimps were for the first time. These proved in the league, although only the seventh and eighth place, but both the fourth-placed FC Daugava Daugavpils and the sixth -placed FK Jelgava were not considered for this season.

The opening match of the 2010/11 season was the FC Flora Tallinn in the home game in the A. Le Coq Arena against FK Sūduva Marijampolė from, which was won 2-1. The defending champions FK Ventspils lost his leg against JK Nõmme Kalju with 1:2, but won the return match at home in Ventspils Olimpiskais stadium with 4:1.

Second round

The first legs in the second round were held between 21 September and 10 October 2010 the return matches between 10 October and 11 November 2010.

Quarterfinals

The first legs in the quarter-finals were held on 5 and 6 April 2011 instead of the return legs on 19 and 20 April 2011.

Semifinal

The first legs took place on May 3 and 4, the return legs on 24 and 25 May 2011.

Final

The final was played on June 18, 2011.
