- The Synod of Elvira ( 300-302 ) defines many moral and ethical rules for Christianity. Marriages between Christians and Jews are forbidden, the Feast of Pentecost and the Sunday as a holiday to be introduced. The Synod is not recognized by the Roman Eastern Churches.
- February 23 303: the beginning of the tenth Roman persecution of Christians under Diocletian. In Nicomedia was made the first edict against the Christians. Thus, the municipal assets will be seized, Christians are released from administration and army and deprived them of civil liberties. Christian church services are banned and destroyed churches and prayer rooms.
