A Different Kind of Truth is the twelfth studio album by the American rock band Van Halen, released in February 2012 on the label Interscope Records. The album reached # 2 on the U.S. charts. It is the first studio album with singer David Lee Roth in 28 years.
History
Roth left the band in 1985, but was pushed back to 2007. On A Different Kind of Truth is also the first time Wolfgang Van Halen, the son of Edward Van Halen and nephew of drummer Alex Van Halen, to hear, who had replaced Michael Anthony in 2006. Many of the songs on the album are from old demo recordings, so it anknüpft in style to the first six albums. It was produced by John Shanks.
Success and criticism
