Administrative divisions of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic

The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is divided into eight administrative units. Of these seven provinces, while Stepanakert, the capital of the country, has a special administrative status.

Azerbaijan units and claimed area

Additional Rajons of Azerbaijan are under government control over Karabakh and are now part of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic ( NKR ): Latchin, Kubatli, Sang Elan, Dschebrajil, Kalbajar and parts of Agdam and Fizuli. On the other side are the western parts of Martakert and Martuni under the military control of Azerbaijan, as well as the entire part Schahumjans.
