Adorned Brood

Adorned Brood is a metal band from Grevenbroich, one of the longest-serving Pagan Metal bands in Germany.

Band History

The band was founded in 1993 and took in the year the demos Phobos - Deimos and Wapen on.

In 1996 with Hiltia the first album in torture Records. After the albums Wigand ( 1998 Atmosfear ) and Asgard ( 2000 Moonstorm ) and numerous line-up changes the band had only frontman Mark Frost and after his return in 2007 Mirko "Pagan " Klier received. In these years, Adorned Brood played a more peaceful and folkigere Type of Metals; the black metal elements are almost fully entered on the album ground force in the background.

At the end of 2005, the band parted from their previous label Moonstorm Records and signed a contract with Black Bards Entertainment. The fifth studio album feat appeared on 1 September 2006.

In September 2008, the first two albums were re-mastered Wigand Hiltia and published in a double CD edition with Black Bards Entertainment. In addition, in November, the new studio album Noor, with which the band stylistically again returned to the music of the first albums and the proportion of German texts appeared significantly reduced.

2009 were carried out wide-ranging line-up changes. With Niklas a solid keyboard player was engaged. January Jansohn (All Will Know, Dunkelschön, ex- Agathodaimon, ex- Opalessence ) replaced founding member Mirko "Pagan " Klier (Ex - Difused ) on guitar and Anne replaced Anna as a flutist. In early 2009 the band was involved in the Black Sails Over Europe tour, in which they supported in addition Heidevolk also Alestorm and Týr with some appearances. In summer 2009 they played at Wacken Open Air in October of the same year the third album was re-released in Asgard.

In early 2010 left the longtime drummer Tim Baumgärtel due to time constraints, the band and for him returned the founding member Mike " Ariovistus " Engelmann. In October 2010, the seventh studio album Hammerfeste followed. As part of this, there was a European tour together with Negură Bunget and Black Messiah. Engelmann remained, however, due to time or professional reasons not last long and was replaced by Mischa Kliege ( Denight, ex- Earth After Sun ) in September 2011.

There was a change from the insolvent label Black Bards Entertainment to Massacre Records, on which then the eighth album Kuningaz was published on 23 November 2012.

The tape shows for quite some time with live shows at major German metal festivals like Summer Breeze (2001), Party.San (2001), the Wacken Open Air ( 2009), the Ragnarök Festival (2011 ) and the Wave -Gotik-Treffen (2012 ) as well as support of Subway to Sally, Ensiferum, Norther, Korpiklaani and Turisas presence. In December 2012, the band played in Sao Paolo in Brazil and for the first time outside Europe.
