AFC Women's Asian Cup

The Asian Cup Women (English AFC Women 's Asian Cup) is the Asian Continental Championship in women's football and is played since 1975. In order for the Asia Cup is the oldest continental championship in women's football. Organizer of the tournament is the Asian Football Confederation.

The tournament takes place every two or three years at irregular intervals. Until 2003 there were no qualifying rounds, all registered teams participated directly in the final tournament. From 2006, the competition is named AFC Women's Asian Cup and is held every two years. Previously called the competitive AFC Women's Championship. Record winner is the PRC, eight times so far was able to win the tournament.

Every four years, the tournament serves simultaneously as Asian qualifiers for the FIFA Women's World Cup. There are five places to Asia now.
