Aleksandr Geramisov

Alexander Petrovich Gerasimov (Russian Александр Петрович Герасимов; born March 19, 1959 in Penza, Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian ice hockey player.

Career

Gerasimov began his career in his hometown at Diselist Pensa. In 1977 he took part with the Soviet Under-18 national team at the U18 European Championship, winning the bronze medal. In the following two years he was a member of the U20 National Team, the 1978 and 1979 won the gold medal at the U20 World Championships.

In 1980, he joined the army club CSKA Moscow and won with this 1981-1987 seven Soviet league titles and seven consecutive European Cup.

Gerasimov in 1982 was appointed to the team of the Soviet national ice hockey team and was on 12 December 1982 in a game against Sweden for the first time for the national team of Sbornaja on the ice. His international career was crowned with the gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics. For the national team, he scored a total of 21 goals in 42 internationals. On April 4, 1986 he played his last international match. In 1984 he was " For valorous work" awarded Honored Master of Sports of the USSR and with the medal.

In 1988, he finished his career, during which he scored a total of 73 goals in 232 games in the league Wysschaja.
