Aluminé Department

The department Aluminé lies in the west of the province of Neuquen in southern Argentina and is one of 16 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered to the north by the Departamento Picunches, on the east by the department of Catán Lil, on the south by the Departamento Huiliches and to the west by Chile.

The capital of the department of the same name is Aluminé Aluminé.

Population

According to estimates by the INDEC, the population grew from 6,308 inhabitants (2001) to 7,075 inhabitants in 2005.
