Amythaon

Amythaon In Greek mythology, a son of Tyro with King Cretheus of Iolcus. His siblings were Aeson and Pheres, he also had two half-brothers, the twins Pelias and Neleus, who bore to Poseidon his mother.

After the death of King Pelias tried Cretheus jurisdiction over all of Thessaly to usurp, attracted the rightful successor Aeson in a cave below Iolcus and banished his remaining brothers by Messenia, where they are in Pylos (see also " Palace of Nestor " ) settled at King Aphareus.
