Andreas Schröder

Andreas Schroeder ( born August 7, 1960 in Jena ) is a retired German wrestler. He was world champion and European champion in freestyle wrestling.

Life

Andreas Schroeder was 13 years old to wrestle. In Jena he found in Peter Germer a coach and Uwe Neupert a training partner, from whom he had learned a lot. Until 1990, he competed for the SC Motor Jena, after 1990 for the KSV Aalen, the SV Siegfried Hallbergmoos - Goldach and TSV Dewangen. With a 3rd place at the 1982 World Cup in Edmonton, Andreas Schröder ranked in the top world's top freestyle wrestler a super heavyweight and was this a decade. During this period, the Soviet Union / CIS sat down opposite him following a Ringer: Hasimikow, Gobedischwili, Mermianishvili, Naniev, Khadartsev, Bigajev, Schilzow, Tourmanidze and Shumilin.
