Andrey Moiseyev

Andrei Moiseyev (Russian: Андрей Сергеевич Моисеев; born June 3, 1979 in Rostov-on- Don ) is a Russian athlete who is active in the modern pentathlon.

He won the gold medal in the individual competition at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. During the closing ceremony of the games he carried the flag of his home country. Four years later he successfully defended his title at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

At the World Championships in 2005, won third place in the individual competition. With the Russian team, he was in 2004, 2005 and 2008 World Champion, 2001, he won a bronze medal in the team competition also. In addition, it was 2008 single European Champion and a year before Vice- European Champion, as well as with the team in the years 2003, 2007 and 2008 European champion, 2005 runner-up and 2006 Third.

Andrei Moiseyev became the honorary title " Honored Master of Sports " in recognition of his success in Russia.
