Andromeda V

Andromeda V also briefly And V is a spheroidal dwarf galaxy ( dSph ) in the constellation of Andromeda. The galaxy is about 2.52 million light -years away from our solar system. Andromeda V is a member of the Local Group, and is a satellite of the Andromeda Galaxy M31.

The dwarf galaxy was in 1998 by the research group Armandroff et al. discovered after investigations of the digitized version of the survey of the second Palomar Sky Survey ( POSS- II).

The metallicity of Andromeda V is above the mean metallicity -luminosity relation of dwarf galaxies of the Local Group.
