Angelo Damiano

Angelo Damiano ( born September 30, 1938 in Barra, Naples ) is an Italian former racing cyclist.

Angelo Damiano was a specialist for short term events on the track. In 1963 he was, together with Sergio Bianchetto Italian masters in tandem race. The following year he won jointly with Bianchetto, who was four years earlier became Olympic champion in this discipline, together with Giuseppe Beghetto, the gold medal on the tandem at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. In the semifinals, they sat through against the German duo Willi Fuggerer and Klaus Kobusch, who have been disqualified in the third and decisive run for leaving the line in the final sprint. 1967 Damiano was at the Track World Championships in Amsterdam third in the sprint.
