Arani Municipality

The municipality Arani is a district in the department of Cochabamba in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Location in near space

The municipality Arani is one of two Municipalities of the Province and Arani is located in the western part of the province. It is bordered to the west by the province Punata, to the south by the province Mizque, on the east by the municipality of Vacas, and in the north by the province Tiraque.

The largest settlement and administrative center of the province is Arani with 3,512 inhabitants ( 2001 census ) on the western edge of the municipality.

Geography

The municipality Arani is located in the transition zone between the Bolivian Altiplano in the west and the Bolivian lowlands to the east. The mean average temperature of the region is almost 18 ° C (see climate chart Cochabamba ) and varies only slightly between 14 ° C in June and July and 20 ° C in November. The annual precipitation is about 450 mm, with a pronounced dry season from May to September, with monthly rainfall less than 10 mm, and a humidity from December to February with an 90-110 mm monthly rainfall.
